How it works

  1. Traders pay pump.fun's creator fee.
  2. Fee sharing sends 100% of it to the treasury. Locked.
  3. At each publication: 1% platform fee (buys back $REDPILL), creator share, rest to backing.
  4. Rate = backing / supply, republished every interval.
  5. Holders burn tokens for their share at the rate.

Redeeming

  • One transaction: publish if due, burn, pay out in the quote asset.
  • gross = min(amount × rate, amount × vault / supply), net = gross − fee
  • Set a minimum received. The transaction fails rather than pay less.
  • Burned tokens are gone. Supply shrinks.
  • Last token redeemed: treasury goes terminal, residual to that redeemer.
  • The rate is a floor, not a price or a peg.

The platform fee goes to the platform authority wallet and is used to buy back $REDPILL, the first token launched on Red Pill. Buybacks are made from that wallet, not enforced by the program.

Share, redemption fee and interval (1 minute on devnet, otherwise 1 hour to 30 days) are fixed at creation.

Launch and onboard

  • Launch: create the coin, treasury and fee sharing in one atomic transaction. Optional dev buy follows.
  • Onboard: add a treasury to an existing coin. Needs the current creator, revoked mint authority, no Holder Rewards, no finalized fee sharing.
  • Onboarding finalizes fee sharing. It is permanent. Earlier fees stay in your pump.fun vault.

Risks

  • Unaudited. You can lose everything you put in.
  • Upstream. pump.fun can change fee rules. Inflow may slow or stop; funds in the treasury stay redeemable.
  • Quote asset. Issuers like USDC can freeze accounts and block payouts.
  • Permanent. Settings and fee routing cannot be changed by anyone.
  • Not advice. Not financial, legal or tax advice, or an offer of any security.
